Regina Minor Football Tie Breaking rules for League standings These are the tie breaking rules for the league final standings. A win is worth 2 points, tie is 1 point, loss is 0 points. When we deal with points for and against, scored per game, the most a team can have in a game is 20 points. (ie....66-6, 42-6, and 26-6 are all +/- 20,) this eliminates the need to run up the score. |

- I will not force my child to participate in football.
- I will remember that my child plays sports for his or her enjoyment, not for mine.
- I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
- I will teach my child that doing ones best is a s important as winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game.
- I will make my child feel like a winner every time by offering praise and encouragement for competing fairly and for trying hard.
- I will never ridicule or yell at my child for making a mistake or losing a competition.
- I will remember that children learn best by example. I will applaud good plays by both my child's team and their opponent's.
- I will never question the officials' judgement or honesty in public.
- I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from football.
- I will respect and show encouragement for volunteer coaches who give their time to provide football for my child.
